Problem Solving week 1 Term 1 2010

We looked at patterns for 2 and 4. We saw some interesting patterns using a circle and a ruler.

STRIKE

On Tuesday we went to hear Strike and the first thing they showed us was getting a match, then they sprayed some stuff and it sprang up and it blew really high! Then they played wonderful music. I thought it was fantastic, what about you? By Alexi

Rocket Writing

Most days we do rocket writing, about anything we choose, for ten minutes.
We try to speed our writing along (like rockets).
We count how many words we write in ten minutes and aim to improve our daily total.

Reading

Here we are in week 2 relaxing with a favourite book.
Daily reading mileage is important.

Beach Buddies

We spent time at the beach with our Year 8 buddies.
The weather was superb. We had time to get to know each other.
These Year 8 buddies look out for us during the whole of 2010.
